Florida’s Energy & 
Environmental Alliance

This organization is based at Florida State University and directed by David LaHart.  They distribute information about energy consumption in Florida and the US and provide energy workshops, materials, and a newsletter to teachers.  They maintain a recommended list of fiction and non-fiction trade books that can be used in studies of energy and environmental issues.  They also link K – 12 educators with government agencies, the energy industry, and the business community.

This organization is the energy research institute of the State of Florida.  The Center is nationally recognized for comprehensive programs in solar energy and energy-efficiency.

This organization’s purpose is to develop and disseminate educational material regarding solar and other alternative energy sources.  They develop both printed and electronic curriculum materials and are closely linked with the network of US renewable energy trade organizations in Washington DC.
